ERE's versatility has expanded to the motorcycle world. From mild (bore
increase only) to wild (low compression, port/polish, and supercharged) we
can build it. |
| Rich Scharf - '93 Yamaha V-Max: "Working with Evolution Engine Builders started out on the right foot and just got better from there. I was impressed by their approach to the job by starting off with a detailed discussion as to what I wanted to accomplish and then working back from there to what was realistically possible. They counseled me on the best path to obtain the results I was looking to get from my engine, recommended some vendors but were glad to work with some that I brought to the table. They met all of their promises, were priced very competitively and stand behind their work. I would recommend them to any person serious about doing a top notch job on their engine." |
Rich's V-Max has a '98 block, 85mm JE forged pistons, Pauter long connecting rods, stock valves & cams, ported and polished heads, and of course - balanced and blueprinted assembly. Exhaust is a 4:2:1 Hindle, intake is a rare tunnel ram intake with a Holley 350cfm 2BBL carb.

| Gary Spradley - Yamaha V-Max: "I heard about Gino through Richard Scharf. Rich told me about the motor Gino was building for him. While visiting New York one year I met Gino and toured his shop. I was impressed with his attention to detail and the ability to set limits on what was reliable with enough power to please. During bikeweek Rich let me ride his Vmax with the newly built motor. I was very impressed with the power and decided to let Gino build mine. My engine now has approx 300 miles and I'm very satisfied with the work. Haven't had it dyno'd yet but it's very strong and will wheelie a 3" stretched Vmax just with a first gear roll on. Thanks Gino and keep up the good work." |
You can see more of Gary's bike at his website.

| Paul Novak - '85 Yamaha V-Max: "After blowing up a PCW longrod I was in need of an engine builder for my new motor - after getting a few recommendations I decided ERE was the way to go - Gino is a smart engine builder and he stands behind his work - he tackled the chaindrive conversion and my need for a bottom end that can hold up to 20lbs of boost - nothing like having 100ft-lbs torque off idle!!!" |
Paul's motor ran 190.3hp/130ft-lbs - '97 block, converted to chaindrive, resleeved and bored to 1517cc, 8.6:1 JE pistons, Carrillo long rods, Stainless steel custom valves, custom port & polish, 18lbs of boost via Magnacharger with water & ethanol injection. Also, ERE was instrumental in custom machining a clutch cover extension and pressure plate to accept an MRE lockup clutch.
You find a lot of build photos (and even some videos) at Paul's website.
